Teaching English By Using Game Methods

There is a common perception that all learning should be in serious and solemn in nature . So the otherwise  it is not considered as good learning. We must disagree with this opinion. Because sometimes we need a different way to get a better achievement. Some study showed that using  game can help the teachers to create contexts in which the language is useful and meaningful. In the whole process of teaching and learning by games, the students can take part widely and open-mindedly. To win the games each student or group should competitively answer the questions addressed by the teacher or other students. In order to do so they must try understand what the teacher or their friends say. Unconsciously they will learn simple sentence using common words used by themselves.

They will feel free and relax

We all know that Learning is one of the primary activities of students in the classroom. Success in learning is all concerns  of teacher. To achieve our goal we must make good learning atmosphere and method that can guide the students to learn more. Such condition can be accomplished if the teachers can  create  an attractive methods for the class. The question is, what  we must do if our students get bored? Using Games! Yes, by using some kind of  games can be an alternative solution to handle this problem. It can help and encourage many students to sustain their interest in learning.

Students will be happy learning in open space

The English instruction in elementary school is intended to endorse the mastery and development of the four basic abilities and skills. Those are reading, writing,speaking and listening as reflected in abilities and skill concerning language use so that the students are able to express simple expression with emphasis our vocabulary mastery in order to avoid to vocabulary infraction and attain better out comes, the teacher should choose an appropriate teaching method, which is suitable with subject.

Playing game is one of the teaching methods in elementary school. We know that it can not be separated with  the child. It because the game is a child's world. With the game even students will be able to easily accept and remember the material easily.

Learning in Library is another choice

Therefore, English teacher should encourage their students to learn and "play". Even in order to follow the game, students can be invited to learn outside the classroom. Of course with such a learning method, it  will get warm welcome from the students who could already feel quite bored after hours in the classroom. The students will be very enthusiastic to join the game is made in such a manner. Although they had to sweat, because the game require movement, walk or run but they remain viable until the game finished.
